Inuva is a web-based operating system that allows you to transform any device into your perful personal computer. It allows you to access your files, applications and settings from anywhere, on any device.
How do I access Inuva?
You can access Inuva through any web browser on devices like smartphones, tablets, and computers. If your system is online you can navigate to https://<username>.inuva.me otherwise you must power on the device by navigating to https://inuva.me and logging in.
Is Inuva secure?
Yes, Inuva prioritizes security with features like a built-in firewall, encryption and secure personal computing environments. Weekly backups are also taken of your data to ensure that you never lose anything.
Can I customize my Inuva workspace?
Yes, Inuva offers customization options for your personal workspace. You can change the background, theme, third party applications and more.
Does Inuva support different screen sizes?
Inuva is responsive and adapts to various screen sizes for a seamless experience.
How is Inuva different from traditional operating systems?
Unlike traditional OS, Inuva is cloud-based and eliminates the need for hardware upgrades as it updates itself. It also allows you to access your files, applications and settings from anywhere, on any device. Inuva is also more secure than traditional OS as it is built on top of Linux and has a built-in firewall, encryption, cloud storage and secure personal computing environments.
Can I access files across different devices?
Yes, Inuva offers continuity across devices, allowing you to access your files from any connected device.
Do I need to install any software to use Inuva?
No installation is required; Inuva runs directly in your web browser.
Is Inuva suitable for professional use?
Inuva caters to both personal and professional use, with features suitable for various tasks.
What are the system requirements for Inuva?
Since Inuva is cloud-based, it requires only a device with a web browser and internet connection.
How do I handle software updates in Inuva?
Inuva automatically updates itself, eliminating the need for manual software updates. However, you can manually update by going to settings -> system.
Can I use Inuva for gaming?
No, Inuva is not ready for cloud gaming. This is in the works and will be available in the future.
Is there a cost to use Inuva?
Yes, there is a monthly subscription tied to Inuva. We are working on a self hosting option that would only require a one-time payment.
Does Inuva offer support for developers?
Yes, developers can access tools like a web terminal and SSH/root access. You get a few batteries out of the box such as a private domain name and SSL certificate.

Can I use my existing software on Inuva?
Unfortunately, you cannot use your existing software on Inuva. However, we are working on third party integrations that will allow web based programs to run on Inuva. Support for native Linux and Windows applications is also in the works.

Inuva requires a stable internet connection for optimal performance; offline capabilities depend on specific browser functionalities.
Can I use external devices with Inuva?
Inuva supports various external devices that are compatible with web-based interfaces.
Is Inuva available globally?

Can I have multiple user accounts in Inuva?
No, Inuva only supports one user account per subscription. You can however create multiple user accounts on the machine but they won't be linked to Inuva.

No, Inuva is a closed project. You can extend the functionality of own Inuva system by creating third party applications and integrations on your Inuva machine.
Does Inuva have a mobile app?
No, Inuva is accessible through web browsers on mobile devices, eliminating the need for a separate app. You can add Inuva to your home screen for an enhanced experience and quick access by clicking the share button in your browser and selecting 'Add to Home Screen'.
How does Inuva handle backups?
Inuva's cloud-based nature ensures continuous access to data. Backups are weekly scheduled and stored in a secure location (AWS).
Are there any limitations on file types or sizes in Inuva?
There are no limitations on file types or sizes in Inuva. However, you are limited by the storage space of 500GB. If you require more space, please contact us at support@inuva.me. This will become more accessible in the future.
How does Inuva handle video and audio streaming?
Inuva either converts the file to a compatible format with the highest possible resolution and bitrate or streams the file directly from the cloud. You can also cast files to compatible devices such as Apple TVs and Chromecasts.
Is there a trial period for new users of Inuva?
No, due to the nature of the product, we do not offer a trial period. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
How often does Inuva release updates?
An update schedule of every 2 to 4 weeks is planned for Inuva.
Can I use Inuva for educational purposes?
Yes, Inuva is suitable for educational purposes. It offers a variety of applications and tools that can be used for learning. Schools should contact us at support@inuva.me for more information.
What happens to my data if I stop using Inuva?
When you cancel your subscription you stop incurring charges to your credit card. You will still have access to your data for 20 to 30 days after cancellation. This is to allow users to backup their data and move to another system. After this period, your data will be deleted from our servers and personal data will be anonymized. Can I host Inuva on my own servers?
Yes! With the self hosted option, you can download and install Inuva on up to 3 devices.
How can I update Inuva OS?
Inuva will search for updates every 30 minutes. You can manually update by going to settings -> update.
Does Inuva call home?
Yes, Inuva will check the license before the first request is made to the server.
Does Inuva collect user data?
No, Inuva only collects crash reports.
Can I use Inuva OS for commercial purposes?
Yes, Inuva helps you get work done faster and efficiently. However, redistribution is not allowed.
What are the minimum requirements of Inuva?
Inuva OS requires 2GB of RAM with 1Ghz processor and 10Gb of free disk space.
What are Inuva prerequisites?
Inuva requires Node. It's recommended to use version >= 22.4
How do I install the self-hosted version of Inuva?
After checkout you will be redirected to the download page. You can copy-paste this in your terminal with admin rights and follow the instructions in the terminal.
Is there a difference between Inuva's cloud version and the self-hosted version?
Inuva Basic and Plus offer an all-in-one solution complete with a partially managed server, expendable storage and optionally a powerful CPU. While core functionalities remain the same, the self-hosted version gives you the option to deploy a graphical user interface on your own servers
How do I update my self-hosted Inuva OS?
During setup you can choose to automatically update Inuva through the Crontab. You can also manually update by running the install script again or by going to settings -> system -> update.
What kind of support is available for the self-hosted Inuva OS?
You get 1 year free updates. Afterwards you can still use your Inuva license but new updates require a new license. Customer support is always available through Discord (https://discord.gg/A3PBghf5d9) or support@inuva.me
